...Active Travel is a family owned business located in Canberra, Australia with a new branch office in Sydney.

Our guests include business, embassies, group travel, incentive travel, individuals, first time and well travelled people, young and old. We are proud that some who travelled on our original tour to China in 1982 are still our customers – a quarter of a century of client loyalty.

Our difference is "The Active Travel Network" which evolved by bringing together under the Active Travel banner a team of dedicated travel professionals and individuals. These people know their stuff and we are proud to offer them mentorship and opportunity to build their business and expand their interest in the travel industry. Through our Network of associated travel entities Active Travel presents a selection of travel programs designed to explore the unique cultures and regions of our world. 

Over the decades our experiences and personal long-term relationships with professional travel individuals in our destinations ensures the best possible and most appropriate itinerary and information possible. Our attention to service and sound advice, as well as a genuine interest in our destinations and activities, aim at providing travel experiences that exceed the expectations of our guests. Our past guests provide our measure of success -  their repeat business and referral of friends. Active Travel has won awards such as 'Best Leisure Travel Agent' from AFTA, 'Agent of the Year' from the Northern Territory Tourist Commission and a host of certificates and commendations.

The scam of 'tour operators' and travel agents with only web and email contact, and calls diverted to a mobile phone, is endiemic within the travel sector. They probably have no funding or legal status and as they only exist 'on the airwaves', they probably pay no tax. Credibility is often contrived by creating the illusion of association with a well established organisation. 

If you are surfing the web and looking for deals that are too good to be true, they probably ARE too good to be true. We hear of rip-offs and scams and of unsuspecting clients being left high and dry after paying for travel services via the net, that simply don't exist. If you are unsure, let us investigate.
